How It All Started
MARKOTRAVEL was founded by Mark Picart, a Filipino who arrived in Paris at the age of 12 with big dreams and an even bigger love for travel.
After years of working in the hotel and restaurant industry, Mark found himself at a crossroads when the pandemic hit. When the world slowed down, a new road opened up — one that combined his love for driving, discovery, and sharing the beauty of Europe with others.
He started small, offering private tours in a simple SUV to mostly Filipino tourists visiting Paris. His genuine warmth, local insight, and dedication to every guest quickly turned those tours into memorable experiences. From those humble beginnings, MARKOTRAVEL was born — a travel company built from passion, perseverance, and purpose.
